Job summary

Thiess is recruiting a Project Engineer - Civil for the Eva Copper Mine Project, located on Kalkadoon lands, 75 km north of Cloncurry. The role is a max-term contract (12-18 months) delivering high-quality mine planning and engineering to support safe, efficient operations.

You will work a 2/1 roster with FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, staying in camp during roster periods. You will be part of the Eva Copper Alliance delivering on-site supervision and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or related qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of company systems and policies.
• Assist with development of work schedules and construction progress tracking.
• Track daily costs against budget and work with site supervisors to improve efficiencies.
• Monitor quality to meet client expectations and local authority standards.
• Provide engineering support to on-site supervisory staff.
• Promote the Thiess brand with external stakeholders.
• Maintain open communications and report issues beyond authority to the Construction Manager.
