Job summary

We are seeking a Civil Leading Hand to lead a small civil crew on underground electrical and communications infrastructure projects across Queensland. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who can run a crew, coordinate day-to-day site works and uphold safety and quality on every task.

Your responsibilities include trenching, conduit installation, pit installation and backfilling, and delivering infrastructure to Energex/Ergon Energy standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Civil Leading Hand or Foreman with civil crew leadership.
• Strong background in underground electrical/communications infrastructure.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Experience with trenching, conduit laying, pit installation and backfilling.
• Willingness to work away when required and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work with a civil crew on site, coordinating daily works.
• Trenching, conduit installation, pit installation and backfilling.
• Deliver underground electrical and communications infrastructure to standards.
• Coordinate plant, materials and subcontractors; read drawings and plans.
• Maintain productivity, quality, and safety on site.
