Job summary

Ventia is seeking a senior leader to helm the Civil and ITS Maintenance and Network Delivery Hub in our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance portfolio. You will ensure maintenance activities are delivered safely and to time, cost, quality, productivity and operational targets, leading a skilled team and coordinating across functions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent; relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.
• Extensive experience in road maintenance and operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients.
• Proven time management and organisational skills.
• Experience managing project budgets and forecasting.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong understanding of contract maintenance and network management, including traffic operations.
• Lead and develop the Civil and ITS team to deliver high performance outcomes.
• Build and sustain collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Work cross-functionally with asset management, planning, project delivery, environment, procurement, finance, and QA teams.
• Ensure minor capital works meet quality standards and hold point requirements.
• Oversee financial performance through forecasting, budgeting, and programming.
• Drive sustainable practices, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records to support informed decision-making.
• Lead safe, incident response and ensure compliance with risk, quality, and HSE systems.
• Deliver strong SHEQ outcomes and a culture of safety.
• Build a high-performing, client-focused team aligned to strategic objectives.
