Job summary

Transport for NSW Tamworth, NSW, is seeking an engineering professional to contribute technical expertise and project coordination to infrastructure maintenance programs. You will analyse asset information, monitor project progress, and collaborate with contractors to deliver projects on time and within scope.

A four-year Civil or Structural Engineering degree is required, with strong analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Four-year Civil or Structural Engineering degree from an Australian university or equivalent.
• Knowledge/experience in infrastructure maintenance and construction materials, equipment and techniques.
• Experience in the design, construction and/or maintenance of structures.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project briefs and define project requirements, scope and expected outcomes to support successful project delivery.
• Analyse condition, performance and cost data to support maintenance strategies, forward works planning and annual programs.
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks, impacts and opportunities across current and future programs of work.
• Manage the collection, assessment and interpretation of asset and condition data to inform maintenance and investment decisions.
• Provide engineering advice and technical support for infrastructure rehabilitation and maintenance projects.
• Manage professional service contractors and internal service providers to ensure quality outcomes are delivered on time and within scope.
• Coordinate the handover and disposal of infrastructure assets, ensuring accurate asset information is maintained.
