Job summary

Premier Commercial Solutions is seeking a Civil Inspector for a local government road upgrade in Maroochydore. You will be embedded in the delivery team, ensuring works meet the required standards on site and reporting clearly to the Council and Contractor.

You will bring hands-on civil construction experience across roads, drainage, water, sewer and earthworks, plus a White Card. This long-term, on-site role offers competitive hourly rates and close collaboration with a high-performing project

Qualifications

• Experience in inspection, supervision or superintendent roles.
• Familiar with working with contractors and council stakeholders.
• Current White Card is required.

Civil Inspector - Local Government Road Upgrade

Premier Commercial Solutions - Maroochydore QLD

Premier Commercial Solutions is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to join a local government road upgrade project in Maroochydore. You will be embedded in the delivery team, working alongside an established project management and engineering group on a significant piece of regional infrastructure.

About the Role

You will be the eyes and ears on site, making sure works are built right the first time and to the required standard. You will work closely with the Principal Contractor and the Council team. The role needs a sharp eye for detail, clear and accurate reporting, and the confidence to raise and close out issues early.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect civil works against the drawings, specifications and relevant standards
• Identify defects early and manage them through to close-out
• Maintain accurate site records, inspection documentation and clear written reports
• Undertake site safety audits to confirm works are compliant
• Liaise with the Principal Contractor and Council representatives to keep quality and compliance on track

About You

• You are a hands-on civil construction professional who knows what good work looks like on the ground. You are comfortable working with contractors and Council stakeholders and holding a position when works do not meet the standard.
• Solid hands-on civil construction experience across roads, drainage, water, sewer and earthworks
• Experience in an inspection, supervision or superintendent role
• Local government or infrastructure project experience
• Current White Card
