Job summary

RoadTek, a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Bundaberg, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (AO4) to support civil infrastructure delivery across construction, maintenance, rehabilitation and preconstruction activities.

You will gain exposure to planning, budgeting, tendering, contract administration and stakeholder engagement while working with experienced project professionals in a safety‑driven, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction preferred
• Current Queensland C class driver’s licence required
• Criminal history check will be undertaken before appointment
• Aimed at AO4 level, civil project delivery exposure is desirable

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects and activities
• Assist with budgeting, programming, procurement, expenditure monitoring and priority management
• Contribute to tender pricing, production rates, unit rates and local project information
• Help prepare project documentation and technical specifications covering scope, time, cost and quality
• Apply project management systems and techniques to improve project performance
• Assist with contract administration and liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders
• Contribute to quality, safety and environmental procedures
• Capture project outcomes and lessons learned to strengthen best-practice approaches
