Job summary

RoadTek in Bundaberg is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support civil infrastructure delivery across construction, maintenance and preconstruction activities. This AO4 role focuses on planning, budgeting, tendering, contract administration and stakeholder engagement within the Wide Bay Operations team.

You will work with experienced project professionals, gain hands-on exposure to project planning and delivery, and contribute to estimating, tendering and operational activities to support

Qualifications

  • Experience in civil infrastructure projects is advantageous.
  • Current Queensland C class driver's licence is required.
  • Background in civil supervision, leadership or project management is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects and activities.
  • Assist with budgeting, programming, procurement, expenditure monitoring and priority management.
  • Contribute to tender pricing, production rates, unit rates and local project information.
  • Help prepare project documentation and technical specifications covering scope, time, cost and quality.
  • Apply project management systems and techniques to improve project performance.
  • Assist with contract administration and liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to quality, safety and environmental procedures that support consistent delivery.
  • Capture project outcomes and lessons learned to strengthen best-practice approaches.

RoadTek is seeking a permanent, full-time Assistant Project Manager to join our Wide Bay Operations team in Bundaberg. In this AO4 role, you will support the delivery of civil infrastructure activities across construction, maintenance, rehabilitation and preconstruction projects.

Working alongside experienced project professionals, you will gain practical exposure to the planning, coordination and delivery of road and bridge infrastructure projects. You will also contribute to estimating, tendering, bid management and operational activities.

What You Will Bring

You will be organised, solutions-focused and comfortable working collaboratively in a project environment. You will apply project management principles and practical knowledge to achieve project outcomes, exercise sound judgement, understand when matters need to be escalated and plan carefully to deliver results. You will also demonstrate respect for relevant legislation, policies and standards, with an awareness of risk and appropriate mitigation strategies.

Previous civil construction industry experience and qualifications in civil supervision, leadership and management, or project management would be highly regarded.

Before you apply

You must hold a current Queensland C class driver's licence or equivalent. Travel to other locations may be required for varying periods, with applicable expenses and allowances provided.
