Job summary

Tweed Shire Council, based in Murwillumbah, NSW, is seeking a Labourer for Infrastructure Delivery & Roads and Stormwater. You will contribute to civil construction and maintenance across roads, bridges, stormwater, footpaths, and other public assets, with opportunities in specialised areas like bridge carpentry and signage maintenance.

We offer a base salary from 54,812.61 to 60,365 per annum, plus 12% super, a 76-hour, 9 day fortnight, and flexible work options to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy skills required to accurately follow plans and work requirements.
• Proven ability to apply practical skills across construction and maintenance activities.
• Reliable team player who can work independently when required and contribute within a crew.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil construction and maintenance projects to build and maintain essential community infrastructure.
• Work across roads, bridges, stormwater drainage, footpaths, cycleways and other public assets.
• Take on diverse tasks including bridge carpentry, linemarking and signage maintenance.
• Collaborate with other Council units to deliver high-quality outcomes for the community.
