Job summary

Tweed Shire Council, based in Murwillumbah, NSW, is seeking a Labourer to support Infrastructure Delivery, Roads & Stormwater with a variety of civil construction and maintenance tasks across roads, bridges, stormwater, footpaths and cycleways.

You will join a collaborative team, with opportunities to contribute to specialised areas like bridge carpentry, linemarking and signage maintenance, while following instructions and maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated numeracy and literacy skills with the ability to accurately follow instructions, plans and work requirements.
• Proven ability to apply practical skills across a range of construction and maintenance activities.
• A reliable team player who can work independently when required and contribute effectively within a crew environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a variety of civil construction and maintenance projects, helping to build and maintain essential community infrastructure.
• Work across roads, bridges, stormwater drainage, footpaths, cycleways and other public assets that support our growing region.
• Take on diverse and rewarding tasks, with opportunities to contribute to specialised areas such as bridge carpentry, linemarking and signage maintenance.
• Be part of a collaborative team that works closely with other Council units to deliver high-quality outcomes for the community.
