Job summary

Bielby Holdings Pty Ltd AB is seeking Estimators at all levels to join the NSW Pre Contracts team, supporting major civil infrastructure tenders across roads, bridges, water and renewable energy projects in New South Wales.

You'll work with experienced leaders in Pre Contracts, Engineering and Commercial to prepare estimates, review drawings, and price labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages, contributing to accurate submissions and project execution.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or currently studying Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience preparing estimates within civil construction or infrastructure industries.
• Strong understanding of estimating principles, procurement and project delivery.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of estimates, tenders and bid submissions for major civil infrastructure projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation to identify project scope and requirements.
• Undertake quantity take-offs and pricing of labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Support the development of construction methodologies, staging plans and delivery strategies.
• Participate in tender reviews, risk assessments and value engineering initiatives.
• Assist with procurement and market engagement activities.
• Analyse project risks and opportunities to support competitive and commercially sound tender submissions.
• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across estimating systems, processes and methodologies.
