Job summary

AR Developments is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to join our growing team delivering residential subdivisions across South East Queensland. You will coordinate and supervise civil works, plan ahead, and drive a positive site culture with a strong focus on safety and quality.

You will lead crews, subcontractors and suppliers, report to the Civil Manager, and ensure works are delivered on time and to standard. Formal qualifications are valued, but hands-on experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience as Civil Foreman, Leading Hand or Site Supervisor.
• Attitude, leadership and work ethic to own the site.
• Current Driver Licence and White Card.

AR Developments is a privately owned property developer and civil contractor delivering residential communities throughout South East Queensland.

With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth across the business, we're looking for an experienced Civil Foreman to join our team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of your site, lead a crew, and play an important role in delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

We're looking for someone who can do more than manage day-to-day activities. We want a Foreman who plans ahead, keeps work moving, develops their team and takes pride in the outcome.

About the Role

Reporting to the Civil Manager, you'll be responsible for coordinating and supervising civil construction works across our projects.

You'll work closely with site crews, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.

This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and leading from the front.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day site activities
• Plan upcoming works and ensure labour, plant and materials are organised ahead of time
• Manage site crews, subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor productivity and keep works on programme
• Identify and resolve issues before they impact delivery
• Maintain site safety, quality and environmental standards
• Conduct toolbox talks and daily pre-starts
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsProvide regular updates on site progress
• Mentor and develop team members
• Drive a positive and productive site culture

About You

You'll likely have experience as a Civil Foreman, Leading Hand or Site Supervisor within civil construction.

Most importantly, you'll have the attitude, leadership skills and work ethic to take ownership of your site and get the best out of your team.

You'll bring:

• Civil construction experience, ideally within residential subdivisions
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• The ability to coordinate labour, plant and subcontractors effectively
• A practical understanding of productivity and project delivery
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• The ability to identify problems early and find solutions
• A proactive approach and willingness to improve
• Current Driver Licence and White Card
• Formal qualifications are valued, but we're equally interested in candidates who have developed their skills through hands‑on industry experience.
