Job summary

WorkPac Technical and Operations in Newcastle NSW is seeking a Civil Engineer to focus on urban development and infrastructure projects. The role offers a genuine 4-day work week and flexible hours.

You will design and deliver urban development, subdivision, council, and commercial site projects, produce stormwater and road designs, and coordinate with councils to gain approvals while reporting to a Newcastle Principal Civil Engineer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–8 years of post‑graduate experience in Australian civil consulting.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D or 12D for land development and infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of Newcastle/Hunter region planning frameworks.
• Experience in subdivisions, road design, and stormwater systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design urban development, subdivision, council, and commercial site projects.
• Produce stormwater, drainage, and road infrastructure models and docs.
• Collaborate with councils, authorities, stakeholders to secure approvals.
• Work with Newcastle Principal Civil Engineer to manage workflows.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical input during construction.
