Job summary

Egis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Urban Development QLD team on the Sunshine Coast. You will deliver civil and infrastructure designs for land development and greenfield/brownfield projects, focusing on drainage, water management and SEQ standards.

The role requires 3+ years in a consultancy, a Civil Engineering degree, and strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Flexible full-time/part-time options may be available.

Qualifications

• Ideally, 3+ years’ civil engineering experience in a consultancy with land development or infrastructure projects in Queensland.
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Strong understanding of civil design for land development, storm water, roads, and related infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills for business development.

Job Description

As a Civil Engineer within our Urban Development QLD team, you will focus on delivering comprehensive design and documentation for land development and civil infrastructure projects. With a strong portfolio of award-winning projects in hand across South East QLD, our team continues to grow and we’re seeking a talented civil engineer to join us based out of the Sunshine Coast.

You will be responsible for

• Deliver and manage Civil and Infrastructure designs within broad acre greenfield and brownfield redevelopment
• Design of major and minor drainage infrastructure with an understanding of hydrological principles with appropriate water management and treatments
• Deliver and manage water and sewer designs in accordance with SEQ Water standards
• Prepare relevant servicing and development reports
• Work closely with the other members of the Urban Development team and sub-consultants
• Fostering relationships with current and potential clients building on your existing networks to generate new business

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a civil engineer within a consultancy environment with demonstrated knowledge of land development and/or infrastructure projects local to QLD. In addition, you will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
• A thorough understanding of civil design principles pertaining to land development, storm water, civil infrastructure, roads and/or mining/resources
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and ability to run projects within budget and on time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisation and interpersonal skills for facilitating internal and external stakeholder engagements and business development opportunities
