Job summary

Egis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Urban Development team on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. You will deliver design and documentation for land development and civil infrastructure projects, building on Egis’ portfolio of award-winning work across South East Queensland.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a civil engineer within a consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of land development and/or infrastructure projects local to QLD.
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.
• Understanding of civil design principles pertaining to land development, storm water, civil infrastructure, roads and/or mining/resources.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage Civil and Infrastructure designs within broad acre greenfield and brownfield redevelopment.
• Design of major and minor drainage infrastructure with hydrological principles and water management.
• Deliver and manage water and sewer designs in accordance with SEQ Water standards.
• Prepare relevant servicing and development reports.
• Work closely with the Urban Development team and sub-consultants.
• Foster relationships with clients to generate new business.

Join our Urban Development team as a Civil Engineer! In this opportunity, you will focus on delivering comprehensive design and documentation for land development and civil infrastructure projects. With a strong portfolio of award-winning projects in hand across South East QLD, our team continues to grow and we'd love for you to join us!

You will be responsible for

• Deliver and manage Civil and Infrastructure designs within broad acre greenfield and brownfield redevelopment
• Design of major and minor drainage infrastructure with an understanding of hydrological principles with appropriate water management and treatments
• Deliver and manage water and sewer designs in accordance with SEQ Water standards
• Prepare relevant servicing and development reports
• Work closely with the other members of the Urban Development team and sub-consultants
• Fostering relationships with current and potential clients building on your existing networks to generate new business

Qualifications

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a civil engineer within a consultancy environment with demonstrated knowledge of land development and/or infrastructure projects local to QLD. In addition, you will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
• A thorough understanding of civil design principles pertaining to land development, storm water, civil infrastructure, roads and/or mining/resources
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and ability to run projects within budget and on time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisation and interpersonal skills for facilitating internal and external stakeholder engagements and business development opportunities
