Job summary

Egis seeks an experienced Civil Drafter to join the Urban Transport team on the Gold Coast. You will draft concept-to-construction civil designs for roads, pavements, cycleways and DDA compliant infrastructure, and produce detailed drawings for diverse projects.

You will collaborate with engineers, navigate technical challenges, and contribute to delivering high-quality infrastructure while aligning with Australian standards and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil drafting for road, pavement, cycleway or similar urban transport infrastructure.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Construction Design, Engineering Drafting, or related qualification.
• Knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills to facilitate internal engagements.
• Proficiency in industry standard software packages such as AutoCAD, or 12d.

About the Role

We are seeking and experienced Civil Drafter to join our Urban Transport team on Gold Coast.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing drafting for concept design through to construction certification for simple to complex road, pavement, cycleway, and DDA compliant infrastructure.
• Producing detailed civil drawings for small to large scale greenfield and brownfield developments, as well as commercial, industrial, and medium density projects.
• Collaborating within project teams of engineers, receiving technical advice and direction to navigate through technical challenges and issues.

What do we need from you

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience ranging from beginner to expert level, with demonstrated technical exposure to urban transport or civil engineering.
• A Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Construction Design, Engineering Drafting, or a related qualification.
• Technical expertise in civil design drafting with knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills for facilitating internal engagements.
