Job summary

CJC Management in Sydney is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to provide technical leadership across major infrastructure programs. You will support planning, design development, design management and project delivery with guidance on complex engineering challenges.

Reporting to the advisory and project delivery team, you will mentor junior engineers, coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and help win proposals through robust design outcomes and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Chartered status preferred.
• Strong background in civil design, design management or engineering advisory.
• Experience working with contractors, consultants and asset owners.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience supporting project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across major infrastructure projects.
• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and consultants.
• Oversee design development to ensure technical quality, constructability and project objectives are achieved.
• Support project managers and client teams through planning, procurement and delivery phases.
• Review engineering designs, reports and technical documentation.
• Manage stakeholder, client and consultant relationships.
• Identify project risks and develop practical solutions.
• Mentor and support developing engineers.
• Assist with proposals, bids and business development activities.
