Job summary

The Shire of Hinchinbrook is seeking a Civil Construction Labourer to support Infrastructure Operations with manual labour across road maintenance and civil construction projects. This hands-on role requires safety-conscious teamwork, physical fitness and the ability to follow instructions to deliver quality outcomes.

Applicants should hold a C Class Driver’s Licence and a Construction White Card. The position offers a 76-hour fortnight, generous leave, superannuation contributions, salary

Qualifications

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence or higher.
• Construction White Card.
• Demonstrated physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
• Ability to follow directions and work both independently and in a team.
• Sound understanding of safe work practices and WHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of manual labouring tasks related to civil construction and maintenance.
• Operate hand-held power tools and light machinery safely.
• Assist in construction and maintenance of Council infrastructure following plans and safety docs.
• Work independently and as part of a team with a focus on quality and collaboration.
