Job summary

Hinchinbrook Shire Council is seeking a Civil Construction Labourer to support infrastructure operations in a physically demanding role across construction and maintenance projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in road maintenance or civil construction.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence or higher.
• Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card (White Card).
• Demonstrated physical fitness to perform manual labour in varying conditions.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently or in a team, and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labour tasks for civil construction and maintenance (bitumen, asphalt, concreting, drainage, sewerage, water reticulation and gardening).
• Operate hand-held power tools and light machinery safely and effectively.
• Assist in construction and maintenance following approved plans and safety documentation.
• Work independently or as part of a team with a focus on collaboration and quality.
