Job summary

DC Vegas Pty Ltd in Western Sydney, NSW, is seeking a skilled Civil Construction Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. You will build, install and repair formwork for concrete structures across roads, bridges, and drainage projects, reading blueprints and working outdoors with a safety-focused mindset.

Ideal candidates will have proven carpentry experience in civil works, a trade qualification in Carpentry, and the ability to interpret technical drawings while collaborating with site

Qualifications

• Trade certification/qualification in Carpentry or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in civil/heavy construction projects (roads, bridges, drainage).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Construct, erect, and dismantle formwork and falsework for concrete structures (footings, columns, slabs, retaining walls, culverts, bridges).
• Measure, cut, and shape timber, plywood, and other materials to required dimensions.
• Install and secure bracing, shoring, and scaffolding as needed to support structures.
• Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and properly aligned prior to concrete pours.
• Assist with the placement, vibration, and finishing of concrete where required.
• Strip and clean formwork after curing, and prepare materials for reuse.
• Work collaboratively with site engineers, laborers, and other trades to meet project timelines.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all site safety protocols, including use of PPE and adherence to WHS/OHS regulations.
