Job summary

DC Vegas Pty Ltd in Western Sydney, NSW, is seeking a skilled Civil Construction Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. You will build, install and repair formwork for concrete structures across roads, bridges, and drainage projects, reading blueprints and working outdoors with a safety-focused mindset.

Ideal candidates will have proven carpentry experience in civil works, a trade qualification in Carpentry, and the ability to interpret technical drawings while collaborating with site

Qualifications

• Trade certification/qualification in Carpentry or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in civil/heavy construction projects (roads, bridges, drainage).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Construct, erect, and dismantle formwork and falsework for concrete structures (footings, columns, slabs, retaining walls, culverts, bridges).
• Measure, cut, and shape timber, plywood, and other materials to required dimensions.
• Install and secure bracing, shoring, and scaffolding as needed to support structures.
• Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and properly aligned prior to concrete pours.
• Assist with the placement, vibration, and finishing of concrete where required.
• Strip and clean formwork after curing, and prepare materials for reuse.
• Work collaboratively with site engineers, laborers, and other trades to meet project timelines.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all site safety protocols, including use of PPE and adherence to WHS/OHS regulations.

We've just launched a new experience!### Civil Construction CarpenterDC Vegas Pty Ltd · Western Sydney NSW · Full time**About the role**DCV Plant and Civil is seeking a skilled and reliable Civil Construction Carpenter to join our team.The successful candidate will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures and formwork used in civil construction projects such as roads, bridges, drainage systems, and other infrastructure works. This role requires strong practical carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in an outdoor construction environment.**Key Responsibilities**· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements· Construct, erect, and dismantle formwork and falsework for concrete structures (footings, columns, slabs, retaining walls, culverts, bridges, etc.)· Measure, cut, and shape timber, plywood, and other materials to required dimensions· Install and secure bracing, shoring, and scaffolding as needed to support structures· Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and properly aligned prior to concrete pours· Assist with the placement, vibration, and finishing of concrete where required· Strip and clean formwork after curing, and prepare materials for reuse· Work collaboratively with site engineers, laborers, and other trades to meet project timelines· Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition· Follow all site safety protocols, including use of PPE and adherence to WHS/OHS regulations· Identify and report any safety hazards or structural concerns to the site supervisor· Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards**Required Qualifications & Skills**· Proven experience as a carpenter in civil or heavy construction projects (roads, bridges, drainage, marine works, etc.)· Trade certification/qualification in Carpentry (or equivalent apprenticeship completion)· Strong knowledge of formwork systems, concrete construction methods, and structural carpentry· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications· Proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to carpentry and formwork· Understanding of site safety standards and construction regulations· Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working at heights· Good communication and teamwork skills**Preferred Qualifications**· Experience with bridge, culvert, or retaining wall formwork· Working at Heights certification· White Card / Construction Induction Card (or regional equivalent)· Forklift, crane dogging, or rigging tickets (advantageous but not essential)· Prior experience on government or infrastructure projects**Work Environment**· Outdoor construction site environment; exposure to varying weather conditions· May require travel between project sites· Physically demanding work involving standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks**Compensation & Benefits**· Competitive hourly/salary rate based on experience· A good family business that works safe and takes pride in doing quality workIf you're suitably qualified and ready to go, we can have your inductions sent over tonight for a start tomorrow.
