Job summary

City of Stonnington is seeking a Business Change Partner to plan, adopt and embed organisational change across a diverse project portfolio. You will partner with project managers, leaders and stakeholders to deliver lasting benefits and practical change strategies that support employees.

The role focuses on adoption planning, readiness assessments and effective messaging, with opportunities to coach sponsors and people leaders through change and ensure successful go-live outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certification in Change Management (i.e. Prosci CCP) preferred, though lesser formal qualifications with equivalent experience may be accepted.
• Demonstrated work experience in change planning, adoption and sustainment.
• Proficient in MS Office suite.
• Must possess a Working with Children Check or Police Check prior to commencing employment.
• Ability to gain cooperation from clients, the public and colleagues to motivate and develop teams.
• Ability to liaise with counterparts in other organisations to resolve specialist problems.
• Experience addressing intra-organisational issues and fostering a productive working environment.
• Experience delivering adoption, reinforcement and sustainment for digital/technology-enabled change.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a clear adoption approach and change plan aligned to project milestones.
• Identify, validate and track stakeholder impacts and readiness requirements.
• Define and agree change scope including dependencies and BAU impacts.
• Prioritise adoption activities to match delivery cadence and business capacity.
• Deliver audience-specific communications across agreed channels.
• Design and deliver learning and performance support.
• Update processes, role expectations and service models with business leads.
• Provide go-live readiness inputs including readiness assessments and signoffs.
• Equip sponsors and leaders with messaging and tools to lead teams.
• Plan and deliver targeted stakeholder engagement.
• Surface risks and resistance early and coordinate interventions and escalations.
• Coordinate cross-functional alignment for multi-team changes.
• Provide clear change reporting on progress and risks.
• Identify cross-initiative dependencies and coordinate responses with PMO.
• Capture lessons learned to improve standards, tools and guidance.
• Apply pragmatic change practice across initiatives according to risk and readiness.
