Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a leading insurance client to recruit a Citrix Engineer for a permanent Brisbane-based role with work-from-home flexibility and onsite parking. The position focuses on Citrix Cloud DaaS, end-user VMs, and keeping platforms secure and reliable.

You will work with experienced engineers in a DevOps-driven environment, participate in planning, contribute to roadmaps, automate deployment and maintenance, assist cloud migrations, and ensure monitoring and logging meet

Qualifications

• As a Platform Engineer, you should have demonstrable experience with Citrix Cloud and related cloud virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, SCCM, SCCS, and CI/CD tools is desirable.
• Ability to participate in technical planning, contribute to roadmaps, and collaborate with DevOps for automation.

Responsibilities

• Support platform performance, stability, and security while owning your work.
• Contribute to reliability and scalability improvements for the Citrix Cloud DaaS infrastructure.
• Assist with cloud migration activities and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployment and maintenance processes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to preempt issues and support business tech teams.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.

Randstad is currently working with an exciting client to find a Citrix Engineer. This is a permanent role based in Brisbane with WFH flexibility.

Role Overview:
As a Platform Engineer, you'll contribute to the operation and continuous improvement of our Citrix Cloud DaaS infrastructure and end-user VMs, supporting the reliability, stability, and security of critical platforms. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll grow your technical expertise, contribute to improvement initiatives, and play an important role in keeping our platforms running at their best.

Key Duties:

• Support platform performance, stability, and security - taking ownership of your work and delivering quality outcomes
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform reliability, scalability, and efficiency
• Participate in technical planning discussions and contribute ideas to roadmap initiatives
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to support the automation of deployment and maintenance processes
• Assist with cloud migration activities and contribute to the evaluation of emerging technologies
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to help proactively identify and resolve issues
• Provide technical support and guidance to Technology teams across the business
• Ensure adherence to security policies, industry standards, and regulations
• Share knowledge with team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the Infrastructure Technology knowledge base

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• Non-negotiable: Demonstrated experience with Citrix Cloud.
• Desirable: Experience with 2 or more of the following: Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, SCCM, SCCS, Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), IaC and CI/CD tools (e.g. Terraform, GitLab).
