Job summary

NCS Australia is seeking experienced Customer Identity Engineers (CIAM) for a major enterprise transformation in Sydney. You will design, build and deploy secure identity solutions across high-volume digital channels, working at the intersection of full-stack development, API security and modern authentication.

You will implement OAuth2, OIDC, SSO and MFA, explore Passkeys/passwordless flows, and ensure secure token management while embedding CI/CD and quality engineering into identity services.

Qualifications

• CIAM expertise with customer-facing identity and access management.
• Hands-on backend/API development using Java or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, MFA and secure token management.
• Experience with Passkeys/passwordless authentication and identity verification workflows.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP, secure API engineering and encryption.
• Familiarity with automated CI/CD, testing and production health monitoring.
• Must be based in Sydney and available to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy secure CIAM solutions for high-volume channels.
• Develop backend APIs and integrations with Java or Node.js and modern web frameworks.
• Implement modern authentication standards (OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, MFA).
• Incorporate Passkeys/passwordless workflows and identity verification flows.
• Embed security, testing, and CI/CD into identity services; support operations.
• Collaborate with security architects and product squads to deliver end-to-end identity features.
