Job summary
Western Sydney University seeks an outstanding academic leader to head chronic and complex care research, nurse-led trials, and nursing education across a multi-campus framework. You will build research capacity, secure major funding, and expand collaborations with health services in the Western Sydney region.
You will contribute to teaching within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, lead cross-campus curriculum development, and mentor interdisciplinary teams to advance translation of research
Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant discipline and a strong record of research leadership.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with Australian clinical experience.
- Teaching and research expertise in chronic and complex care.
- Experience leading funded, multi-site, nursing-led clinical trials.
- Demonstrated national leadership and experience advancing equity, diversity and inclusion in research and teaching.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic leadership in chronic and complex care.
- Lead investigator-initiated, nurse-led clinical trials.
- Secure Category 1 research funding as Chief Investigator A.
- Foster interdisciplinary partnerships with health services across Western Sydney.
- Contribute to teaching, curriculum renewal and subject coordination.
