Job summary

Western Sydney University in Parramatta South is seeking an accomplished academic leader to drive chronic and complex care research, lead nurse-led clinical trials and advance the School’s national profile. You will pursue Category 1 funding as Chief Investigator A and build strong partnerships with health services across Western Sydney.

You will also contribute to teaching in the Bachelor of Nursing, coordinate subjects, and support educational quality across multiple campuses through blended

Qualifications

• A PhD in a relevant discipline and a strong record of research leadership.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with Australian clinical experience.
• Teaching and research expertise in chronic and complex care.
• Experience leading funded, multi-site, nursing-led clinical trials.
• Demonstrated national leadership and experience advancing equity, diversity and inclusion in research and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership in chronic and complex care and lead investigator-initiated nurse-led clinical trials.
• Strengthen partnerships with health services across Western Sydney and pursue Category 1 funding as Chief Investigator A.
• Contribute to teaching and learning within the School’s new curriculum, including subject coordination in the Bachelor of Nursing.
• Support educational quality across the School’s multi-campus workplace through blended teaching and program development.
