Palermo Perfumes is seeking a Christmas Casual Retail Assistant in Sydney to welcome customers, understand their gift and fragrance needs, and guide them through our range with confidence. You’ll help create memorable visits, upsell gift sets and ensure the store remains presentable during busy periods.

You’ll be part of a fast-paced team, offering friendly, professional service and ensuring smooth checkout experiences on our POS system.

Formación

• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• You enjoy assisting customers and building rapport.

As a Christmas Casual Retail Assistant at Palermo Perfumes, you'll be at the heart of the Palermo experience, helping customers find a scent they’ll love and making every visit memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every customer warmly and quickly work out what they're looking for, whether it's a gift, a signature scent or a last-minute save
• Guide customers through our range with confidence, matching fragrances to personalities, occasions and budgets
• Build bigger, better sales through thoughtful recommendations, gift sets and add-ons
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience and celebrate wins with your team
• Keep the store looking sharp and gift-ready through replenishment, merchandising and housekeeping
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently on our point-of-sale system, even at peak times
• Handle busy trading periods with energy, patience and a smile

About you

• Experience as a retail assistant, sales assistant or in customer service, ideally in fragrance, beauty or luxury retail (desirable, not essential)
• A genuine love of people and a natural ability to build rapport with customers
• A sales-driven mindset, with the confidence to recommend and upsell
• A can-do, positive attitude toward every part of the role, from the shop floor to the stockroom
• An eye for detail and pride in keeping the store beautifully presented and well stocked
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with high customer traffic and large stock volumes
• A polished, professional presentation that suits Palermo's sleek, signature black look
• Flexible availability from November 2026 to January 2027, including weekends, public holidays and extended trading hours
