Job summary

Tara Anglican School for Girls in North Parramatta, NSW, is seeking a dedicated Christian Studies Teacher for a full-time role commencing January 2027 (or by negotiation). Qualifications

• Personal commitment to the Christian faith and values of Christian education
• Relevant teaching qualifications and NSW teacher accreditation (or eligibility)
• Experience teaching Religious Education, Christian Studies, Studies of Religion or Theology
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to high academic standards and student wellbeing
• Ability to contribute positively to a dynamic day and boarding school community
• Experience with or willingness to engage with IB philosophy and programmes

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and highly capable Christian Studies Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive teaching community. This is a full-time position within a school that proudly delivers both the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes, preparing students to thrive academically, spiritually and personally.

As a Christian Studies Teacher, you will inspire students to engage thoughtfully with faith, ethics, biblical literacy and contemporary issues, while fostering a culture of inquiry, respect and meaningful dialogue. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the spiritual life of the school and support the development of students as confident, compassionate and globally minded young people.

About the Role

• Teach Christian Studies across a range of year groups.
