Job summary

Peabody Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced CHPP Operator Maintainer (electrical) to join the Wilpinjong mine near Mudgee, NSW.

The role operates the Coal Handling Preparation Plant in line with production schedules, with a rotating 5/4 day/night roster and a focus on safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will hold an electrical trade and CHPP processing experience, be capable of working in a small crew, and communicate effectively to share knowledge and improve plant performance.

• Maintain CHPP equipment as requested during scheduled maintenance periods.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPP and Train Loadout.

About the role:

We are currently seeking an experiencedCoal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP)Operatorwithan electrical trade to join our high performing teamat our Wilpinjong mine.
Our Wilpinjong Mine is an open-cut mine located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets. We have a mine life currently in the 2030s and are exploring options and designs to expand that for another decade.
Reporting to the CHPP Shift Supervisor, the scope of your role will be to operate all areas of the Coal Preparation plant in line with production schedules whilst working within a small crew.

The majority of trade work is completed by external contractors on planned regular shutdowns, so this is more of a processing and first pass maintaining / trade role with good variety.

Endeavouring to provide variety in the day, rotating the CHPP tasks through the day, duties will include:

• Operate and monitor the preparation plant to optimise production.

• Candidate must have either
• CHPP Processing experience AND
• Ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge and information.
• Ability to work in a team environment and effectively resolve conflicts with fellow team members.
• Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure.
• Able to take accountability for their own work and development.
