Job summary

Peabody Energy seeks an experienced Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) Operator with an electrical trade to join our high-performing team at Wilpinjong Mine, 58 km NE of Mudgee. You will operate the CHPP, manage stockpiles, and work with contractors on shutdowns while rotating tasks across the day.

The role involves safe, efficient production, hazard reporting, and first-response maintenance, with a family-friendly 5/4 roster. Relocation and living benefits are available.

Qualifications

• CHPP processing experience required.
• Electrical trade qualification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and share information.
• Ability to work in a team environment and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the CHPP to optimise production.
• Identify, report and act on hazards.
• Perform first-response breakdown maintenance as needed.
• Operate stockpile dozers for coal stockpile management and train loading.
• Maintain CHPP equipment during scheduled maintenance.
• Keep CHPP and Train Loadout areas clean and safe.
