Our Wilpinjong Mine is an open-cut coal mining operation located in the western coalfields of New South Wales, approximately 40–50 kilometres northeast of Mudgee, near the village of Wollar. Wilpinjong produces high-quality thermal coal for both domestic and export energy markets and is one of Peabody’s most productive and lowest-cost operations.

We are seeking an experienced Open Pit Mine Surveyor to join our Technical Services team at Wilpinjong Mine. Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting mining operations through the delivery of accurate survey data, pit set-outs, stockpile surveys and drone-based aerial mapping projects. This position operates on a Monday to Friday roster with 9 day fortnight, supporting a balanced and residential lifestyle in Mudgee or nearby towns.
