Job summary

Peabody Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced CHPP Operator Maintainer (electrical) to join the Wilpinjong mine near Mudgee, NSW.

The role operates the Coal Handling Preparation Plant in line with production schedules, with a rotating 5/4 day/night roster and a focus on safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will hold an electrical trade and CHPP processing experience, be capable of working in a small crew, and communicate effectively to share knowledge and improve plant performance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a CHPP and electrical trade is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge.
• Ability to work in a team and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Willing to take accountability for own work and development.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the preparation plant to optimise production.
• Identify, report and act on all hazards.
• Perform first response breakdown maintenance tasks as required.
• Operate stockpile dozers to manage the product coal stockpile, reclaim operations and train loading in line with schedules and blend parameters.
• Maintain CHPP equipment as requested during scheduled maintenance periods.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPP and Train Loadout.
