Job summary

Thiess in Australia is seeking a CHPP Operator Maintainer/Fitter to join the Lake Vermont CHPP team near Dysart. You will operate, service and maintain fixed plant equipment to maximise plant reliability and ensure smooth coal processing.

Roster 7/7 DS/NS; Full-time on-site role at Lake Vermont Mine, QLD. Trade qualification required and strong safety focus; you will collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.

Qualifications

Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting and Turning, or equivalent.
Experience servicing, repairing and maintaining CHPP or heavy industrial equipment.
Experience in breakdown and planned maintenance, component changeouts, fault finding.
Strong commitment to safety and risk management.
Team player with ability to work with operations and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of fixed plant equipment to maximise plant reliability and availability.
Complete routine maintenance, breakdown repairs and component changeouts in accordance with site safety and maintenance standards.
Operate and maintain plant equipment while working collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to support production outcomes.
