Anglo American is seeking an experienced Electrical Process Technician for the CHPP at Dawson Mine in Queensland. You will perform daily checks, operate train loadouts, and optimize plant performance while collaborating with maintenance and production teams.
The role requires electrical trade credentials, CHPP experience, and a strong safety mindset. This is a full-time position with a 7-on, 7-off roster and camp or DIDO options available, including competitive remuneration and yearly bonus
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in Northwest Queensland and Western Australia.
Dawson is located at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, being just over a 2hrs drive west from either Rockhampton or Gladstone, or 4.5hrs drive north of the Darling Downs or South Burnett.
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Process Technician within the CHPP at our Dawson Mine, on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a safety-focused fixed-plant operator with an electrical background experienced in Coal Handing Processing Plants, to join the Production team at Dawson CHPP. Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, the CHPP Electrical Process Technician will be responsible for:
