Job summary

Anglo American is seeking an experienced Electrical Process Technician for the CHPP at Dawson Mine in Queensland. This full-time role focuses on safe operation, daily CHPP checks, and efficient plant performance within a supportive production team.

You'll bring an electrical trade licence, CHPP experience, and a proactive approach to maintenance, with options for residential, DIDO or FIFO arrangements and a competitive remuneration package.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Electrical Trade license and CHPP experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Coal Handling Preparation Plants within a mining environment.
• Experience with Train Loadouts and Control Room operations.
• HR licence (desirable); RIIVEH306/RIISAM2121 desirable.
• Certifications for Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP, Forklift, Dogging and Rigging desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily CHPP checks and respond to faults across Raw Coal, Product Yard and Overland Conveying.
• Operate Train Loadout and Control Room operations.
• Optimize CHPP operations through quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production and contractors to improve equipment reliability.
• Conduct thorough inspections and report defects or future work.
• Own equipment performance and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement programs to boost plant performance.
• Maintain knowledge of safety processes and ensure compliance with safety systems.
• Work as part of a professional team to achieve business objectives.
