Glencore’s Oaky Creek CHPP is seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join the maintenance team on a full-time, even-time 7/7 roster at Tieri, QLD. You will report to the CHPP Senior Maintenance Engineer and provide mechanical maintenance support to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

The role requires CHPP maintenance experience, an Australian-recognised Boilermaker qualification, current Standard 11 or ability to obtain, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

• Australian-recognised Boilermaker trade qualification.
• Current Standard 11 (Surface) or ability to obtain.
• Well-developed problem-solving, fault-finding and decision-making skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Experience leading teams or supervising maintenance activities.
• Mining Supervisor G1, G8 and G9 competencies.
• Exposure to train loading and dozer operations.
• Current Forklift, EWP, Non-Slewing Crane, Dogging and Rigging tickets.

Reporting to the CHPP Senior Maintenance Engineer, an opportunity exists for an experienced Boilermaker to join the maintenance team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Providing mechanical maintenance support to the CHPP to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
• Performing planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on CHPP equipment.
• Conducting fabrication, remediation and repair work across the CHPP.
• Completing routine inspections and mechanical servicing activities.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship while complying with site procedures and statutory requirements.
• Contributing to a positive team environment and actively promoting safe work practices.

About you:

Required

• Experience working in a CHPP maintenance environment.
• An Australian-recognised Boilermaker trade qualification.
• Current Standard 11 (Surface) or the ability to obtain.
• Well-developed problem-solving, fault-finding and decision-making skills.
• A strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Experience leading teams or supervising maintenance activities.
• Mining Supervisor G1, G8 and G9 competencies (formerly S1, S2 and S3).
• Exposure to train loading and dozer operations.
• Current Forklift, EWP, Non-Slewing Crane, Dogging and Rigging tickets.
