Job summary

Wellbeing Chiropractic seeks a driven Chiropractic Assistant to join our busy clinics across Browns Plains, Springfield, Newstead and Capalaba. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling bookings, payments and general admin with warmth.

This permanent part-time role offers on-the-job training, a supportive team, and opportunities to progress to Senior Chiropractic Assistant. A valid driver's license and reliable transport required to travel between locations.

Chiropractic Assistant - Permanent Part time

Join our team as a Chiropractic Assistant – where every day is about helping people feel their best and supporting passionate professionals.

Location:Browns Plains, Springfield, Newstead, Capalaba

Hours: Monday - Friday (9:30am – 1pm, 3pm – 7pm) & Saturday (8am – 1pm)

Employment: Permanent Part Time

Remuneration: Hourly rate will be based on the successful applicant's skills, experience and qualifications

Availability: You must be available to work on the advertised roster and have flexibility to work additional weekdays and Saturdays when required to cover team leave and unexpected absences.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is not suitable for university students due to the availability and flexibility required.

About the role

We are looking for a driven and career-focused individual who enjoys working with people and is motivated to develop their skills.

As a Chiropractic Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for many patients and play an important role in creating a positive, welcoming experience. You will also support the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic and work closely with chiropractors, allied health practitioners and the wider team.

This role is suited to someone who is interested in building a long-term career in healthcare administration and patient services, with the opportunity to progress into a Senior Chiropractic Assistant position

Your main duties will include but are not limited to:

Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional customer service in person and over the phone

Manage patient appointments, payments, health fund claims and general administration

Process HICAPS Trinity transactions accurately

Respond to emails, messages and telephone enquiries promptly and professionally

Support chiropractors and allied health practitioners with day-to-day clinic operations

Maintain accurate patient information and handle confidential records in line with privacy requirements

Coordinate patient flow and help ensure appointments run smoothly

Maintain a clean, organised and professional clinic environment

Complete administrative tasks accurately and within required timeframes

Work collaboratively with chiropractors, allied health practitioners, administration and management

Remain calm and solution-focused when managing competing priorities in a busy clinic

Develop a strong understanding of clinic services, practitioner procedures and patient care processes

What you will bring

Previous customer service, administration or healthcare experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

A professional and confident telephone manner

Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks

Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team

A patient-focused approach and genuine interest in helping people

Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Ability to learn new systems, software and processes

Strong attention to detail when handling payments, appointments and patient information

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle patient information appropriately

A valid driver's licence and reliable transport, as travel between clinic locations may be required

An interest in chiropractic and allied health services

A willingness to learn, develop and take on additional responsibilities over time
