Wellbeing Chiropractic is seeking a motivated Chiropractic Assistant to be the first point of contact for patients and support day-to-day clinic operations. The role offers a permanent part-time roster with on-the-job training, mentoring, and development opportunities within a growing network of clinics.

You'll assist chiropractors, manage appointments and payments, and contribute to a welcoming patient experience while upholding privacy and accuracy in records.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, administration or healthcare is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Professional telephone manner and excellent organisational skills are required.
• Ability to learn new systems and maintain confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional service in person and by phone.
• Manage appointments, payments, health fund claims and general administration.
• Process HICAPS Trinity transactions accurately.
• Respond to emails, messages and calls promptly and professionally.
• Support clinic operations and maintain patient records securely.
• Coordinate patient flow and ensure smooth appointment runs.

Employment: Permanent Part Time

Remuneration: Hourly rate will be based on the successful applicant's skills, experience and qualifications

Availability: You must be available to work on the advertised roster and have flexibility to work additional weekdays and Saturdays when required to cover team leave and unexpected absences.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is not suitable for university students due to the availability and flexibility required.

About the role

We are looking for a driven and career-focused individual who enjoys working with people and is motivated to develop their skills.

As a Chiropractic Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for many patients and play an important role in creating a positive, welcoming experience. You will also support the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic and work closely with chiropractors, allied health practitioners and the wider team.

This role is suited to someone who is interested in building a long-term career in healthcare administration and patient services, with the opportunity to progress into a Senior Chiropractic Assistant position

Your main duties will include but are not limited to:

• Welcome patients and provide friendly, professional customer service in person and over the phone
• Manage patient appointments, payments, health fund claims and general administration
• Process HICAPS Trinity transactions accurately
• Respond to emails, messages and telephone enquiries promptly and professionally
• Support chiropractors and allied health practitioners with day-to-day clinic operations
• Maintain accurate patient information and handle confidential records in line with privacy requirements
• Coordinate patient flow and help ensure appointments run smoothly
• Maintain a clean, organised and professional clinic environment
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and within required timeframes
• Work collaboratively with chiropractors, allied health practitioners, administration and management
• Remain calm and solution-focused when managing competing priorities in a busy clinic
• Develop a strong understanding of clinic services, practitioner procedures and patient care processes

What you will bring

• Previous customer service, administration or healthcare experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A professional and confident telephone manner
• Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
• A patient-focused approach and genuine interest in helping people
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
• Ability to learn new systems, software and processes
• Strong attention to detail when handling payments, appointments and patient information
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle patient information appropriately
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transport, as travel between clinic locations may be required
• An interest in chiropractic and allied health services
• A willingness to learn, develop and take on additional responsibilities over time
