Job summary

Department of Education Victoria is seeking a Classroom Teacher for Chinese at Templestowe College in Melbourne. The role focuses on planning,Preparation and teaching to achieve student outcomes within FLE-supported programs.

Eligible for roles at ranges 1 and 2 with possible duties beyond rostered teaching. The successful candidate will engage in high-quality instruction, group and individual support, and collaboration with staff to promote student wellbeing and achievement within the school

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy
• Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, colleagues and community
• Demonstrated behaviours consistent with Department values and ongoing professional learning

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area
• Undertake other classroom teaching related duties as determined by the principal
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties
