Job summary

Green Garden Childcare Centre in Penrith, NSW, is seeking professional educators to join our team. You will plan learning environments, prepare activities, and maintain documentation to support each child’s growth and wellbeing.

The role emphasises collaboration, safety, and building a positive learning community. A Diploma (or progress toward) and ACECQA-first aid credentials are required, with WWCC current.

Qualifications

• Diploma, or willingness to obtain Diploma or ECT in line with ACECQA requirements.
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required.
• ACECQA approved First Aid qualification that covers applying first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis.
• Solid understanding of National Quality Framework, Early Childhood Education and Care laws and regulations, and the new Assessment and Rating process.
• Commitment to embedding best practice and building connections with the community.

Responsibilities

• Plan learning environments, set up activities, prepare materials and restock supplies.
• Engage in daily/weekly planning and establish clear objectives.
• Evaluate programming and adjust activities accordingly.
• Complete children’s daily reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Create a friendly, secure, and stimulating interactive learning environment.
• Maintain high health and safety standards; assist with food preparation as needed.

About the Centre

We are a 56 place childcare centre in Penrith. The centre prides itself on its high-end renovation and variable resources allowing children and educators to explore and connect with great support.

Your key priorities will be to:

• Planning learning environments, setting up activities, preparing and cleaningaway materials and supplies;
• Daily/weekly planning and objectives;
• Evaluate programming;
• Completing the children's daily reports;
• Creating a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment;
• Maintaining a high level of health & safety standards; and
• Food preparation as needed.

The successful applicant will,

• Diploma, or willing to get Diploma or ECT in accordance with ACECQA.
• Current Working with Children Check
• ACECQA approved First Aid Qualification that includes applying first aid, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis
• Current understanding of National Quality Framework, Early Childhood Education and Care Laws and Regulations and the new Assessment and Rating Process.
• Ensuring a focused approach to embed exceeding practices as per National Quality Standards.

• High level of written correspondence and comprehension including high level of documentation skills.
