Job summary

Kids Discovery Early Learning and Child Care – Camden NSW is seeking a dedicated Cook/Chef to prepare warm, nutritious meals for children at our Spring Farm NSW 2570 centre. You will prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks, cater to dietary needs, and ensure safe handling and storage of food.

Collaborate with the Centre Manager to design wholesome menus and foster positive interactions with children and staff while enjoying flexible hours and above award wages.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant qualification in hospitality, commercial cookery, nutrition, or early childhood education.
• Experience in menu planning and managing dietary requirements.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea using a 4-week rotating menu.
• Cater to children’s dietary needs and allergies.
• Maintain safe and hygienic practices for food storage, handling and preparation.
• Order and manage food supplies and oversee deliveries.
• Collaborate with Centre Manager to design and prepare a wholesome menu.
• Foster positive interactions with children and staff daily.
