Job summary

Guardian Childcare & Education is seeking a Chef at Guardian Clayfield to design seasonal menus and prepare nutritious meals for children and Educators. You will engage with children in food-related learning experiences and support a safe, welcoming kitchen environment.

You will lead food preparation, collaborate with teaching staff, and promote healthy eating habits across the Centre. A Food Safety Supervisor certificate and a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery are preferred, with WWC checks

Qualifications

• Proven ability to plan nutritious menus for children.
• Strong skills in preparing tasty, age-appropriate meals and snacks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work with Educators and Parents to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop a seasonal, nutritious menu that respects medical and cultural needs.
• Prepare meals and snacks for children and Educators.
• Collaborate with Educators and Teachers to weave food into learning.
• Maintain food safety practices and clean, hygienic kitchen environments.
