Overview

Join to apply for the Childcare Chef role at Guardian Childcare & Education in Brassall. The position involves preparing and serving four nutritious meals daily for our childcare centre. The centre offers access to a fully equipped kitchen and opportunities to engage in cooking activities with the children’s rooms each month. The position currently offers 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal, nutritious menus that cater to individual requirements and promote children’s health and wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships with children, educators, families, and the centre community.
• Ensure best practice food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.

Requirements

• Food Safety Supervisor certificate. (Essential)
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards it. (Desirable, not essential)
• Awareness of personal responsibilities under Child Protection Laws.
• Current Working with Children’s Check (QLD Blue Card).
• Experience cooking for children, including meeting individual needs such as allergies and dietary requirements while ensuring meals are healthy and balanced.
