Job summary

Direct Care Resources is seeking experienced Child Safety Support Workers to support children and young people across Logan and Ipswich. You’ll provide consistent, trauma-informed care in out-of-home environments, helping with routines, independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• Relevant minimum Certificate IV qualification in child, youth, or family services.
• Open or P2 driver licence with reliable vehicle and current registration.
• Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia and current First Aid/CPR.
• Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening and LCS2 clearance may be required.
• Ability to meet Direct Care Resources compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build safe, respectful relationships with children and young people.
• Provide day-to-day support in a home environment.
• Support school attendance, appointments and community participation.
• Help develop living skills, routines and independence.
• Use trauma-informed, person-centred approaches.
• Respond calmly to challenging situations and maintain boundaries.
• Administer medication per plans and procedures.
• Complete shift notes, handovers and incident documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure consistent care.
