Direct Care Resources is recruiting experienced Child Safety Support Workers to assist children and young people across Logan and Ipswich in out-of-home care environments. You’ll provide structure, support, and encouragement to help young people participate in their communities.

We seek compassionate, reliable individuals who can build trust, work calmly under pressure and maintain professional boundaries while delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care.

Competenze

• Minimum Certificate IV qualification or current enrollment in a relevant field
• Open or P2 Driver Licence is required
• Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Blue Card or equivalent clearance
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Child Safety Division LCS2 Clearance
• Ability to meet DCR and Child Safety compliance requirements

• Build safe, respectful and consistent relationships with children and young people
• Provide day-to-day support within a home environment
• Support school attendance, appointments, activities and community participation
• Help young people develop everyday living skills, routines and independence
• Use trauma-informed and person-centred approaches
• Respond calmly to challenging situations and behaviours
• Maintain professional boundaries while providing support
• Administer medication per individual plans and DCR procedures
• Complete accurate shift notes, handovers and incident documentation
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure consistent care
