Job summary

CatholicCare Diocese Of Broken Bay is seeking an energetic Child Care Educator for Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) on a permanent part-time basis. You will work 17.5 hours per week across two school communities, 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, supporting children in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

You’ll help plan activities, support families, and step into the Responsible Person role when needed, while enjoying salary packaging, training, and extra paid leave at Christmas.

Qualifications

• Prev experience with school-aged children.
• Cert III in Children’s Services/OSHC or currently working towards it.
• Current Working With Children Check is required.
• Must complete Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Harm.

Responsibilities

• Implement the My Time, Our Place Framework for school-aged children.
• Act as the Responsible Person when required.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment in line with regulations and policies.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

About the Role

Do you love working with kids and creating fun, meaningful experiences? This is your chance to make afternoons the best part of a child’s day!

We’re looking for an energetic and passionate Child Care Educator to join our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team on a Permanent Part-Time basis (17.5 hours per week). You’ll work Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm, across two welcoming school communities:

• 3 afternoons at St John the Baptist, Woy Woy
• 2 afternoons at Kincumber Public OSHC

In this role, you’ll bring creativity and enthusiasm to help children learn, play, and grow in a safe and supportive environment. You’ll assist the Coordinator in planning engaging activities, build positive relationships with families, and step into the Responsible Person role when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Completion of ‘Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Harm’ (mandatory for Responsible Person role).
