Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney is seeking a Permanent Part-Time OSHC Coordinator. The role is term-time only, 28 hours per week, with 2 hours morning Mon - Thurs and 4 hours afternoon Mon - Fri, within a supportive team that values safety, care, and professional development.

You will be responsible for ensuring a safe OSHC service, engaging activities, liaising with families and the school, maintaining attendance and bookings, and upholding NSW

Qualifications

• Desirable qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or currently pursuing.
• Previous experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) desirable.
• Certificate in Child Protection desirable.
• First-aid certificate required.
• NSW Working with Children Check required.
• GECCKO child safety training (GECCKO) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Be one of the responsible persons for the service.
• Provide a safe OSHC service for staff and children in an all-inclusive professional team environment.
• Support the children's attendance and casual bookings schedules to ensure child safety and supervision.
• Support the design and implement engaging educational programs with observations and reflection journals.
• Create opportunities to share children’s participation and engagement in programs with families.
• Maintain strong relationships with families and the school community.

The Role

Permanent Part-time, 28 hours/week, 2 hours morning Mon - Thurs, 4 hours afternoon Mon - Fri. Term time only. Vacation care available.

About you

To be successful, you will have:

• (Desirable) Hold aqualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards
• (Desirable) Previous work experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
• (Desirable) Hold a certificate of training in Child Protection
• Full first-aid certificate
• Hold an NSW Working with Children check
• Completed the mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO. Register GECCKO
