Job summary

Optus is seeking an experienced risk governance leader to own end-to-end governance, reporting and secretariat relationships between the CSRO, the Board and its subcommittees. This high-impact role requires translating complex risk and governance concepts into clear, actionable materials for the Board.

You will partner with senior leaders to shape Board reporting on risk, culture and controls, drive governance transformation, and coordinate with Singtel Group to align messaging and governance

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in corporate governance or related roles.
• Knowledge of Board and Committee governance practices (papers, minutes, terms of reference, RACI).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication for Board and Executive-level material.
• Experience supporting organisational transformation relating to risk, culture or governance uplift is valued.

Responsibilities

• Establish governance practices and forums for Optus Management and act as a trusted advisor on governance practice.
• Lead end-to-end governance and secretariat function for the CSRO, coordinating papers, packs, minutes and actions for Risk and Audit Committees.
• Prepare, review and quality-assure Board/Committee papers; maintain document control.
• Manage governance calendars, meeting agendas, action tracking and reporting deadlines.
• Coordinate risk reporting with Singtel Group; align key messages and governance requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of governance processes and templates.
• Build trusted relationships across Risk, Audit, Compliance, Legal and Executive Committee.
