Job description

Join the team that’s redefining eCommerce!

We’re AMP (https://useamp.com/) - we’re a platform of interconnected, high-performance solutions, built to power and scale eCommerce businesses on Shopify.

More about us:
  • Headquartered in Singapore
  • Founded by 2 successful 2nd-time entrepreneurs - founder/CEO of TradeGecko / exited TradeGecko to Intuit (Quickbooks) for US$100M in 2020 and founder /CEO of Advocately, exited to G2, ex-TradeGecko).
  • We have 45k + eCommerce merchants globally that love us!
  • Well funded and backed by South-East Asia’s largest Venture Capital firms
  • Just over 4 years into our journey of hyper-growth.
About the Role

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Chief of Staff based in Sydney to work closely with our CEO. This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who can turn high-level priorities into action and take ownership of the projects that matter most to Amp.

You will sit at the centre of the business, connecting priorities across teams and helping our leaders and company move with greater speed, focus and clarity. The work will change as the business changes: one week you may be analysing a strategic opportunity or preparing leadership materials; the next you may be unblocking a cross-functional initiative, improving an operating process or taking a new idea from zero to one.

Your area of ownership will cover:
  • CEO and leadership leverage - protecting focus, sharpening priorities and ensuring important decisions turn into clear actions.
  • Strategic and special projects - owning high-impact initiatives that cross functions or do not yet have a natural owner.
  • Company operating rhythm - improving planning, goal setting, leadership meetings, follow-through and internal communication.
  • Business analysis and decision support - using data, research and commercial judgement to frame options and guide decisions.
  • Cross-functional execution - coordinating teams, removing blockers and maintaining momentum on company priorities.
  • New opportunities – identifying better ways of working and helping test and launch ideas that could create meaningful value for AMP
What you’ll do
  • Partner with the CEO to translate company priorities into practical plans, owners, milestones and outcomes.
  • Own cross-functional special projects from initial question through analysis, recommendation and implementation.
  • Create concise decision briefs, business cases and presentation materials.
  • Establish and run effective operating cadences, including leadership meetings, goals, progress reviews and action tracking.
  • Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer, Finance and Operations to keep critical initiatives moving.
  • Surface risks, gaps and opportunities early, then propose solutions rather than simply reporting the problem.
  • Support selected commercial, partnership, hiring and other strategic initiatives when additional leadership capacity is needed.
  • Improve processes and information flow without adding unnecessary complexity or slowing the business down.
  • Use AI, automation and other tools thoughtfully to improve the speed and quality of analysis and execution.
About you:
  • You have experience in a high-growth business, ideally in B2B SaaS, eCommerce or another technology environment. We care more about your range, judgement and track record than a specific number of years.
  • You are entrepreneurial and may have worked in business operations, strategy, product, growth, commercial leadership, a founder’s office or built something of your own.
  • You are resourceful and comfortable taking responsibility before every detail has been worked out
  • You enjoy variety and can move between analysis, communication, project delivery, problem-solving and practical execution
  • You bring energy, optimism and a solutions-focused mindset, including when plans change or problems become difficult
  • You are comfortable with uncertainty, and you can create structure without waiting for perfect information
  • You have a strong sense of urgency and know when to move quickly, when to investigate further and when to bring others into a decision
  • You have a high-ownership, bias-to-action mindset and follow through until the intended outcome has been achieved
  • You think independently, challenge assumptions and are willing to explore unconventional but practical solutions
  • You prioritise effectively, adapt quickly when circumstances change and maintain momentum across several important workstreams
  • You are curious, low ego and keen to learn directly from experienced founders while helping build and scale a global technology company
  • Work at the intersection of SaaS + eCommerce with a global, remote-first team
  • Direct impact: your strategies will touch thousands of Shopify merchants
  • Fast-growing business with the agility of a startup, backed by scale-up traction
  • Other benefits include flexible work locations & productivity allowance/budget to help set up a great work space, competitive compensation, annual offsites, and comprehensive health insurance.
