Job summary

Immediate start for an experienced CFO with a leading national mining services group servicing Tier 1 miners. Reporting to the MD, you will split your work week across two locations in Perth's southern suburbs, managing and coaching two qualified Accountants as well as six transactional and administrative staff.

This can be done Interim with a view to becoming permanent, fixed term or permanent arrangement depending on the candidate.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA with 10+ years post-qualification experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in CFO, GM Finance or Finance Manager roles.
• Experience in multi-entity Groups and mining or industrial sectors preferred.
• Investor relations, PE transactions, and due diligence experience.
• Proven use of AI, automation and modern finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance team across strategy, pricing, margins, and capital.
• Oversee close, consolidation, board packs, audits, project and lease accounting.
• Manage lender relationships, covenants, funding, and shareholder reporting.
• Oversee rolling cash forecasts, inventory, import finance, and FX.
• Drive cloud-based finance stack and automated reporting.
• Lead governance, risk, controls, and facilities management.

• Reporting & Control: Close & consolidation. Board pack, accounts, audit. Project & lease accounting.
• Banking & Investors: Own lender relationships. Covenants & funding. Shareholder reporting.
• Working Capital: Rolling cash forecasts. Inventory & import finance. FX on imported equipment.
• Systems & Data: Cloud-native finance stack. Automated reporting & AI. One trusted set of numbers.
• People & Governance: Lead the finance team. Tax, insurance, risk & facilities. Controls & delegations.

Who we are looking for

• CA/CPA, 10+ years post-qualified experience
• 3+ years as CFO, GM Finance, Finance Manager
• Background in Distribution, Equipment, Industrials or similar preferred
• Experience in multi-entity Groups
• Investor management, PE transactions, due diligence experience
• Adopter and user of AI, Automation and systems minded is a must
