The role focuses on strengthening governance, delivering accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic insights that influence business decisions.

The Company is in search of a Group Financial Controller – Deputy CFO to join their Finance leadership team. This pivotal role goes beyond traditional financial reporting, offering the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, partner with operational leaders, and enhance the financial performance and governance of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Group's core financial functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, and providing the necessary support for confident and informed decision-making. Key responsibilities include owning financial performance, strengthening governance, driving commercial insight, managing cash and capital, supporting strategic decisions, leading and developing people, and championing continuous improvement in finance systems and processes.The ideal candidate for this role at the company is a confident finance leader with a strong technical accounting background, commercial acumen, and leadership capability. A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, along with a CA or CPA qualification, is required. The role demands a proactive individual with a commercially focused mindset, capable of challenging constructively, influencing outcomes, and turning financial data into meaningful business decisions. Experience in financial control, technical accounting, financial reporting, and leading finance teams is essential, as is a strong knowledge of cash flow, working capital, treasury, and financing facilities. Advanced ERP, Excel, financial modeling, and reporting capabilities are also necessary, as well as exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in sectors such as mining services, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or resources is highly regarded.
